Anxiety and Panic Attack

AnxietyExperiencing occasional anxiety is a normal part of life. However, people with anxiety disorders frequently have intense, excessive and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. Often, anxiety disorders involve repeated episodes of sudden feelings of intense anxiety and fear or terror that reach a peak within minutes (panic attacks). These feelings of anxiety and panic interfere with daily activities, are difficult to control, are out of proportion to the actual danger and can last a long time. Symptoms may start during childhood or the teen years and continue into adulthood.

There are a number of anxiety disorder types, including specific phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety disorder (social phobia), and separation anxiety disorder. A person can have more than one type of anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorder symptoms can be felt or observed at the physical, mental and behavioral levels.

Sometimes anxiety results from a medical condition that needs treatment. Whatever form of anxiety you have, treatment can help. Your worries may not go away on their own, and they may actually get worse over time if you do not seek help. It may be easier to treat if you seek help early.

Counselling and therapy can help a person to adapt to the triggers that are causing anxiety. Systemic therapy is helpful in family therapy, where the efforts of the whole family can help the individual. Psychodynamic therapy helps a person to find the hidden psychological defences that cause problems to manifest. Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on the problem at hand, providing solutions to day-to-day issues and finding ways to restructure negative thought patterns. Hypnotherapy helps a person connect with their subconscious mind, and with a therapist’s guidance form insights into unwanted behaviors and thought patterns and then change them. Our therapy focuses on the teaching of specific skills to gradually return to the activities a person has avoided because of the anxiety. Through this process, one’s symptoms improve as one build upon the initial success.

Feedback from One of Our Clients Who Had Suffered From Anxiety:

I would like to thank my therapist for her effective and powerful sessions which really transformed my life, renewed my life. I was a negative thinking person, which always tell myself negative commands and feel insecure, worried and nervous almost every day and every time. But after these sessions, I would say these negative feelings and thoughts very, very seldom appear again in my mind. I can control things better and worriedness and nervousness have disappeared. I seldom feel worried and nervous again. I am transforming my life to the better after these sessions. Thanks.
